The People’s Governor presented the State Juventudes Award before more than 2,000 young Guanajuatenses from all 46 municipalities

“Young Guanajuatenses, today we want to tell you that we believe in you, in your abilities and your dreams. We believe in your strength to transform Guanajuato. Take advantage of all the opportunities that are opening up. Dare to dream big,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo to more than 2,000 young Guanajuatenses from all 46 municipalities of the State, on the occasion of International Day off the Young.
The Governor presented the 2026 State Juventudes Award, in recognition of talent and creativity, “because where there are young people there are new ideas, there is passion, there is innovation,” said Libia.
“Today we have solid evidence that our young are changing communities, improving lives, and opening new paths for our State. It’s seven extraordinary young people, with stories that inspire us, who are examples of the best that Guanajuato has to offer,” said the Governor.
The State Juventudes Award is the greatest recognition bestowed by the Government of Guanajuato to the young people for their leadership, talent, innovation, and social contributions.
The Juventudes award winners are:
- Nailea Francesca Mora Perez, in the Social and Community Commitment category
- Raul Omar Herrera Arroyo, in the Academic and Scientific category
- Marco Javier Lopez Ramirez, in the Artistic and Cultural category
- Kevin Lael Ochoa Barron, in the Inclusion, Diversity and Human Rights category
- Maria Teresa Guerrero Flores, in the Environmental Care and Sustainability category
- Paola Berenice Franco Medel, in the Entrepreneurship and Productive Leadership category
- Miguel Huizache Vazquez, in the Innovation and Technology category
“Each of these stories represents the talent of our youth; and each category represents a fundamental theme for the development of Guanajuato,” said the Governor.
This year, 257 applications were received: 132 men and 125 women from 31 municipalities across Guanajuato.
The Governor reaffirmed her commitment to everyone present, saying, “I want you to know that we believe in you. We know that investing in young people is investing in the future of Guanajuato.”
And for those who are interested in starting a business, the People’s Government offers the Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato (Financial and Support Fund You Can Guanajuato), an alternative to support especially the young and women entrepreneurs who historically did not have access to credit.
In addition, for those who wish to prepare themselves and go into the labor market, there is the State Training Institute, with a flexible, practical and accessible model that responds to the real needs of students, entrepreneurs, workers and companies.
The Governor also mentioned the micro-credentials, modern tools that allow for the accreditation of specific skills, updating of knowledge and opening of new job opportunities in less time.
Furthermore, today in Guanajuato we are building a new path to economic development: Guanajuato Suma. This new economic policy responds to changes in the global economy, ensuring that Guanajuato remains a leader and continues to evolve, said Libia.
