Guanajuatense companies of the industrial, fashion, crafts and agro-food sectors began their preparation this Tuesday to take the next step towards international markets, with the start of a new face-to-face edition of the Learn to Export program, promoted by COFOCE.

This edition includes 37 companies, which will receive specialized and practical training on fundamental topics for their internationalization throughout seven face-to-face modules.

The program aims to provide companies with the essential knowledge and tools to develop a more robust export process, from identifying international opportunities and preparing their products, to the regulatory, logistical and commercial aspects necessary to reach other markets.
The first session, held on October 6 at the Sateg facilities in Guanajuato Puerto Interior, focused on the regulatory framework and the foreign trade file, including topics such as customs regimes, barriers to international trade, tariff classification, certificates of origin, regulations and use of the Mexican Single Window for Foreign Trade.

Learn to Export is part of COFOCE’s strategy to strengthen the capabilities of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and support them through the various stages of their internationalization process.
This initiative aligns with Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo’s vision of fostering an economy that generates more opportunities for individuals and better conditions for families, strengthening local businesses and bringing development to more regions of the State.

“The goal of this program is to enable more SMEs to join the export sector. ‘Learn to Export’ is designed to teach companies the fundamentals of the export process, because exporting is not just about selling: it’s about preparing to compete in the global market and creating the conditions for an international transaction to become a recurring process,” said Luis Antonio Vargas Zavala, General Director of COFOCE.
The preparation is complemented by COFOCE’s support model, which allows companies to be linked with specialized services, advice and strategies to facilitate their entry into new markets.

Behind each company that enters a new market there are jobs, families, and new development opportunities for Guanajuato: exporting changes lives.
