DHL Express Mexico and the Secretary of Economy of the State of Guanajuato formalized a cooperation agreement focused on strengthening the capabilities of local businesses, the artisan sector and Guanajuatense entrepreneurs, positioning them as key drivers of State economic development.
The agreement –valid until December 31, 2026– will bring logistic benefits, specialized training, and preferential discounts on courier and parcel services to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), with a special boost for companies that are part of Marca Guanajuato, through DHL Express’s “SME Program”.
The benefits include:
- “Open Your Account ” discount, with up to 80% off international shipping and up to 60% off domestic shipping. For those who open a new account with DHL
- “20% SME” discount on shipments made in DHL physical stores within the State
- Creation of joint digital campaigns that highlight the potential of products of origin “Marca Guanajuato” in national and international markets
“As promoted by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, in the People’s Government we are working to ensure that more entrepreneurs, artisans, and MSMEs have opportunities to grow and reach further”, said Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, Secretary of Economy of the State of Guanajuato.
“This agreement fosters pride in Guanajuato’s identity and opens new opportunities for our producers. With the logistical support of DHL Express, they will be able to take their products further, faster, more efficiently, and more competitively,” said Villasenor.
Manuel Montes Bertin, Director of Compliance and Regulatory Affairs at DHL Express Mexico, said: “Guanajuato, with its strategic location in the center of Mexico and its industrial leadership, is consolidating its position as a key hub for entrepreneurial development in Mexico. Today, Guanajuato has 43 DHL Express points of sale all over the State.
