Guanajuato recognizes the strength of women facing breast cancer with a catwalk full of emotion, solidarity and love for life

Amid applause, smiles, and looks full of emotion, 60 Guanajuatense women of different ages starred in the Pasarela de Vida 2026, an event that transformed the Teatro del Bicentenario into a stage of courage, hope, and resilience.
On International Breast Cancer Awareness Day, each participant took their place in the spotlight to demonstrate that behind every diagnosis there is a story of strength, dreams and a desire to move forward.
The women received a warm welcome and the support of makeup artists, and then wore and showcased fashion designs handed by Paco Grandos, elements that contributed to prepare a day where beauty met inner strength and personal confidence.
The excitement began to be felt from 10 am, when singer Patty Ibarra appeared on the stage to perform some of her hits, filling the venue in an atmosphere of music, joy and enthusiasm.
The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato, Gabriel Cortes Alcala, emphasized that behind every diagnosis there is a story that deserves professional attention, close support and humane treatment, because taking care of health also means recognizing the emotions and needs of each woman.
Grisell Quiroz Romero, president of the State Committee of Boards and Volunteers, explained that this initiative was born to recognize women beyond their diagnosis, strengthen their confidence and remind them that they are not alone during their journey of care.
The Life Runway became a space where every step had a special meaning: to celebrate life, share experiences and show that breast cancer does not define a person or limit their ability to inspire others.
“Today this catwalk is not a fashion show, it is a parade of courage, hope and love for life,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo in a phrase that summarized the spirit of the day.
Applause accompanied the participants as they walked across the stage, some with radiant smiles and others with emotion etched on their faces. Each appearance served as a reminder that behind every woman lies a unique story that deserves to be heard and embraced.
With the 2026 Life Runway, Guanajuato celebrated much more than beauty: it recognized the strength of 60 women who transformed their experiences into inspiration and reminded everyone present that hope can also walk under the spotlights.
