In order to generate new opportunities for collaboration and product development for the footwear and leather goods industry, the Industrial Connection + Design reunion was held, in which 20 companies from Guanajuato and six designers with different specialized profiles participated.

Of the participating companies, 18 are from Leon and 2 from San Francisco del Rincon, strengthening the link between companies in the sector and specialized talent to identify concrete opportunities for collaboration.

The initiative, promoted by the Secretary of Economy in collaboration with the Guanajuato State Chamber of the Footwear Industry (CICEG), adapts the Industrial Connection methodology to connect the real needs of companies with designers who have different capabilities, specialties and experiences.

During the meeting, the participating companies held networking appointments with the designers, in which they were able to present their needs, learn about their profiles and portfolios, as well as explore possibilities of collaboration for the development of new products, models and collections, in addition to projects for innovation, differentiation and strengthening of their design capabilities.

Meanwhile, the designers had the opportunity to learn firsthand about the needs, production capacities and development opportunities of the companies, with the purpose of identifying projects in which their knowledge and experience can generate value.
The goal is for these connections to go beyond the initial approach and become real collaborative projects, integrating specialized talent with the needs of the industry and generating new opportunities for Guanajuatense companies.

As part of the promotional and outreach efforts with the sector, five designers participated during SAPICA, presenting their profiles and giving visibility to this new strategy, in addition to identifying needs and opportunities for collaboration with footwear and leather goods companies.
With Industrial Connection + Design, Guanajuato strengthens the connection between its industry and specialized talent, promoting design, innovation and product development as tools to increase competitiveness and generate new growth opportunities.
