October 21 to 23, Poliforum Leon will host the 68th Autumn-Winter edition of ANPIC, the international supply-chain trade show connecting manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers across diverse industries.

Spanning 22,000 square meters, the exhibition floor will host over 800 booths and more than 200 brands, showcasing early proposals for materials, components, and trends targeting the Autumn-Winter 2027/2028 season.

Organized by the Association of Industrial Suppliers of Mexico (APIMEX), ANPIC brings together key solutions for leather-footwear, leather goods, textiles, apparel, furniture, and other specialized sectors.

The trade showcase includes:

  • Pelt and leather, textiles, hardware, components, chemical products, machinery, and equipment, among other essential inputs driving finished goods production

Beyond commercial exhibits, this edition incorporates specialized areas, conferences, trend and design workshops, alongside an International Buyers Program engineered to strengthen trade linkages between domestic suppliers and global markets.

During the launch of the 68th edition, the Mayor of Leon emphasized ANPIC’s long-standing track record and its ongoing contribution to the city’s identity as Leon celebrates its 450th anniversary.

Guanajuato’s Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, representing Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, noted that the leather goods sector operates as an integrated ecosystem combining design, creativity, raw materials, consumer intelligence, innovation, and technology.

The official highlighted that the key challenge for companies lies in adapting faster to shifting market dynamics and emerging consumer demographics, while maintaining distinct product identities that add value to Guanajuato-made goods.

The Secretary underscored ANPIC’s role as a key venue for closing trade deals, discovering advanced developments, and forming strategic alliances among manufacturers, suppliers, designers, universities, and regional authorities.

Villasenor also pointed to sustainability and circular economy practices as increasingly decisive factors in business strategy, driven by resource recovery, waste reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency.

Regarding commercial performance expectations, Villasenor recalled that the previous ANPIC edition drew over 8,000 attendees, noting that targets for 2026 aim to surpass that number.

The Secretary reaffirmed that the State Government, through the Secretary of Economy, will maintain its strategic partnership with APIMEX to deliver tools, training, and commercial opportunities that enhance business growth and competitive position.

ANPIC Autumn-Winter 2026 is broadening its scope with specialized exhibit areas serving distinct market segments:

Western Pavilion: Showcasing western fashion solutions, including hats, belts, jackets, denim, and saddlery goods.

PPE Safety Pavilion: Concentrating personal protective equipment solutions, such as industrial footwear, helmets, safety glasses, gloves, and specialized soles, expanding material options for industrial safety requirements.

One Stop Shop by ANPIC: Connecting manufacturers, vendors, and contract assembly services to streamline supply chain integration across footwear and leather goods production.

These additions reflect ANPIC’s ongoing diversification and continuous drive toward new commercial avenues for supply-side vendors.

The APIMEX Fashion Lab (LMA) will roll out trend projections for the Autumn-Winter 2027/2028 season, featuring materials, textures, color palettes, and applications that highlight market potential for finished consumer goods.

Demonstrating cross-sector collaboration of industry and academia, students and faculty from Universidad La Salle Bajio, Universidad de Leon, and Instituto Versa designed 12 outfits using materials supplied by APIMEX-affiliated companies. The collections showcase functional industrial supply applications while giving students direct exposure to industrial materials and manufacturing processes.

Among key special events is the invitation-only Fashion Cocktail on Thursday, October 22 at 7:00 p.m. The runway show will present collections from designers including Pineda Covalin, Ale Spindola, and Nadya Padilla, blending high design, creativity, and industrial supplies.
