With an additional investment of 29 million dollars, TYW Manufacturing Mexico began construction of the second stage of its plant located in the Guanajuato Industrial Park, in Irapuato, consolidating the company’s confidence in Guanajuato and strengthening the State’s presence in the automotive industry’s value chains.

On behalf of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, and the Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, the Undersecretary of Investment Attraction, Alejandro Hernandez Fonseca, highlighted that this new investment is a sign of the confidence that companies maintain in Guanajuato and the commitment of the State Government to generate the conditions that allow investments to translate into jobs, technological development and greater opportunities for Guanajuatense families.

The second phase of TYW Manufacturing Mexico complements the first phase of the plant, which opened in May 2025 with a $50 million investment. With both phases, the project reaches a cumulative investment of $79 million and is committed to creating up to 1,000 jobs when operating at full capacity.

TYW Manufacturing Mexico develops high-precision technology for the automotive industry, particularly electronic boards and PCBAs for next-generation vehicles, and serves major companies in the sector.

From Guanajuato, its production reaches international markets such as the United States and Korea, strengthening the State’s participation in higher value-added global supply chains.

Alejandro Hernandez Fonseca pointed out that projects like this reflect the transformation that the automotive industry is experiencing and the opportunity that Guanajuato has to consolidate itself as a hub for advanced manufacturing, electronics, automation, electromobility and technological innovation.

“This second stage expands the possibilities for Guanajuato,” noted the Undersecretary of Investment Attraction, noting that the arrival and expansion of highly specialized companies also contributes to talent development, the growth of suppliers, and greater integration of Guanajuatense companies into value chains.

Hernandez added that this investment aligns with the new economic policy “Guanajuato SUMA”, recently presented by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, whose vision seeks to ensure that attracting investment is not limited to the amount of capital that comes to the state, but that it rather generates greater local value through technology, specialized talent, innovation, supplier development and opportunities for SMEs.

Investments in the Government of the People:

  • 77 investment projects have been finalized
  • Over $6.435 billion in committed investment
  • 19,381 jobs
  • The State reaches now 80.44% of its investment target for the six years of the term
