The Secretary of Economy, the Technological University of Leon (UTL), and the company DENSO inaugurated the Virtual and Physical Training Laboratory for Industrial Processes for the Design, Monitoring, and Control of Machinery, a space equipped with cutting-edge technology that will strengthen the practical training of students in strategic areas for the industry of the future.

The Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, pointed out that one of the priorities of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, is to build a future with more opportunities for the people of Guanajuato, promoting an economy based on innovation, knowledge and the training of highly specialized talent.

“In Guanajuato, we are convinced that talent is the main driver of economic development. That is why we promote actions that strengthen the link between education and industry, preparing young people to meet the challenges of an increasingly dynamic, technological, and competitive economy,” said Villasenor.
The new laboratory will help students develop skills in automation, industrial control, virtual simulation, industrial networks, remote monitoring and technologies associated with Industry 4.0, bringing them closer to real work environments and strengthening their preparation to join highly specialized productive sectors.

This project is a result of the confidence that global companies like DENSO have in Guanajuato and in the talent of its people. Since arriving in Guanajuato in 2006, the company has invested more than $130 million and created over 1,500 jobs, establishing itself as a strategic partner for the State’s economic and industrial development.
The Secretary of Economy acknowledged that this project represents a new stage in the collaboration between industry and academia, by promoting learning spaces that respond to the current needs of companies and the global trends of technological transformation.

“We need our universities to evolve at the same pace as industry. Spaces like this allow students to develop skills aligned with the world’s most advanced production processes and become leaders in innovation,” said Villasenor.

The People’s Government strengthens the ecosystem of innovation, education and economic development that positions Guanajuato as a national benchmark in talent development, investment attraction and industrial competitiveness.
