The agreement signed by both institutions strengthens the Technological Transformation and Talent pillars of the Guanajuato SUMA strategy

As part of the Guanajuato SUMA strategy, A New Direction for Our People, promoted by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo , the State Institute of Training (IECA) and the Guanajuato Information Technology Cluster (CLUTIG) signed a collaboration agreement that strengthens two of the priority axes of this new economic policy: technological transformation and talent development.
The alliance will promote courses, certifications, workshops, and training opportunities in information technologies, aimed to prepare the people of Guanajuato for the jobs demanded by new industries and help Guanajuato have the talent required for present and future investments.
This agreement reflects the Guanajuato SUMA vision, which promotes coordinated work between government, businesses, education institutions and specialized organizations so that economic growth translates into better opportunities for people.
The general director of IECA, Salomon Ceballos Ochoa, pointed out that the economic development of the State depends not only on attracting investments, but also on having people prepared to respond to the technological changes that the industry is experiencing.
“If IECA is already the best in the country, we’re going to strive to make it the best in Latin America, and we can do that by bringing in the best practices from around the world, what’s being done in other countries, and developing diverse skills in mechatronics, robotics, information technology, and cloud computing. Companies want to find in Guanajuato the same level of training that exists in leading countries in innovation,” said Ceballos.
“Our commitment is to bring information technology training to the community and work in a coordinated manner with IECA on issues such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and microcredentials , which are fundamental today for the development of the talent demanded by the productive sector,” said the president of CLUTIG, Roberto Tovar Garcia.
The agreement will be valid for two years, with the possibility of renewal, and includes the joint development of training and technological updating actions that strengthen the capabilities of students, workers, companies and the general public.
