UVEG consolidates its position in Mexico

Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo led this historic ceremony where 854 students graduate in Mexico City positioning UVEG as an education project that belongs to all of Mexico

For the first time in its history, the UVEG Graduation Ceremony was held outside of Guanajuato

The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, led the Graduation Ceremony of 854 students of the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato (UVEG), in a historic event that for the first time was held outside the State and that consolidates this institution as a national educational project.

“You can’t imagine how thrilled I am to have traveled to Mexico City for such a significant ceremony as the one that brings us together today. To see so many dreams fulfilled, so many goals achieved, and so much future ahead,” said the State Governor.

Libia noted that the institution has an enrollment of close to 47,000 students and has established itself as the university with the largest higher education enrollment in Guanajuato.

“If we are here today, in this wonderful Mexico City, it is because this institution no longer belongs only to Guanajuato; it belongs to Mexico and also proudly to the world,” said Libia.

The Governor noted that UVEG is an example of how technology, used with a human touch, can break down barriers and bring opportunities closer to thousands of people.

“The nights won from exhaustion, the hours stolen from routine, and the screens turned on when the rest of the world was already asleep. That also graduates today. With great pride, we are UVEG People,” said the rector of UVEG, Ricardo Narvaez Martinez.

“For some who see this achievement, it might seem like an easy path, but the truth is that no one but us witnessed those moments of sacrifice. We would arrived physically and mentally exhausted, but we found the strength to give one last effort each day in front of the screen,” said the graduate Monica Velasco, who recalled that behind every recognition there is a story of sacrifice and determination.

UVEG reaffirms its commitment to offer quality education to any location, regardless of distance, schedules, or circumstances.
