Guanajuato/Gto News
There are young people who tell stories with a song, others who turn movement into a form of expression, and those who find in the stage a space to make people laugh, surprise them, or create something completely different.

To recognize these different forms of talent, the People’s Government, through the Institute for the Development and Attention to the Young of the State of Guanajuato, opened the call for “Guanajuato Has Talent 2026”, aimed at young people from 18 to 30 years old who want to show what makes them stand out.
The call seeks to recognize young people as agents of change also through art, creativity and artistic development, generating a space for their skills to be seen, heard and recognized.

“Guanajuato Has Talent” includes two main categories: Individual Talent and Group Talent, and each one has three categories: Dance, Music and Mix Talent.
Dance can include expressions as diverse as urban dance, hip hop, break dance, street dance, K-pop, contemporary dance, folk, modern, classical, experimental or fusions.
The Music category is open to vocal, instrumental, and electronic talent. Solo artists and groups of diverse genres and styles are welcome to participate, from opera and popular music to rap, as well as those playing instruments such as guitar, piano, or violin.

And for those who make the stage a space for experimentation, there is Mix Talent, a category designed for expressions that go beyond dance and music.
In addition to providing a space to showcase their skills, the competition includes cash prizes for the top three places in each category, both in Individual Talent and Group Talent.
In each category, first place will receive 18,000 pesos; second place, 13,000 pesos; and third place, 10,000 pesos.

This way, the recognition reaches 18 winning individuals or groups, distributed among the six categories of participation.
The call is aimed at young people aged 18 to 30 at the time of registration, who are originally from Guanajuato or can prove at least two years of residence in the state.

To participate, applicants must demonstrate their talent through a video of no more than five minutes.
Registration will be open until October 18, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. or until 200 entries have been received. The results will be published on October 29, 2026.
