The Fourth Book Fair “Letters that Inspire” in Purisima del Rincon, running from June 1 to 5, is officially open to the education community, inviting everyone to dive into its activities, with a wealth of opportunities for both teachers and parents.
This literary gathering is an open invitation to craft stories and narrate our own realities. Official Claudia Lorena Arriaga was there to inaugurate the event at the Municipal Palace esplanade on behalf of Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano.
Elena Ovalle, the Municipal Education coordinator, announced that this year’s Book Fair features meet-and-greets with authors, writing workshops, and activities designed for the entire family.
Ovalle highlighted that this space paves the way for imagination and the written word, stating, “because in Purisima del Rincon, we open doors to create stories and to dare to narrate our own history.”
“The power of imagination is officially here with the 4th Reading Fair, and this year is not about staying still, it is about exploring, touching, and experiencing books with your own hands! You are going to love this Book Fair: all week long, from 8:50 AM to 1:30 PM, you can explore the Fourth Book Fair and participate in ‘100 Purisimenses Said’ to see who knows the most about our land,” said the Ovalle enthusiastically.
The official urged everyone to spread the word to attend book presentations focused on local identity, enjoy free admission to the Hermenegildo Bustos Museum, and join the narrative and story-discovery workshops to write their own adventures.
“For teachers, this is the space for the Magisterium as a builder of cultural memory, the perfect place to get inspired together,” Ovalle concluded.
