State and municipal officials, tourism service providers, and local vendors gathered to present the eighth edition of the Purisima de Mil Sabores Fair. As one of the municipality’s most prestigious culinary events, the festival will take over the Main Square of Purisima del Rincon as a key highlight of the seasonal Guanajuato Si Sabe campaign.

On July 12, the fair will bring together 60 providers, including traditional cooks, artisans, tequila, mezcal, and craft beer producers, artisan workshops, and an extensive array of food and beverages.

The official presentation was led by Mayor of Purisima del Rincon, Roberto Garcia Urbano. He was joined by Claudia Lorena Campos Delgado, Director of Tourism Sustainability for the State Secretary of Tourism and Identity, representing the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Maria Guadalupe Robles Leon. Also in attendance were Jose Roberto Camargo Perez, Municipal Tourism Director, and Fernando Galmez Flores from Rafael Tortas Ahogadas y Barbacoa, representing the local vendors.

President Garcia Urbano detailed the program for this eighth edition, emphasizing that the event aims to spotlight the rich culinary and cultural heritage of Purisima del Rincon while promoting the talent of traditional cooks, artisans, and local entrepreneurs.
“The fair represents a vital economic boost for local families by strengthening tourism, commerce, and community consumption,” Garcia Urbano said.

Claudia Lorena Campos Delgado noted that Purisima del Rincon is a proud participant in the Guanajuato Si Sabe culinary season, a strategic initiative designed to celebrate the culinary treasures of the region’s municipalities and position the defining flavors of the State.
“Under the guidance of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, and the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Maria Guadalupe Robles Leon, we continue to promote Guanajuato’s gastronomy as a cornerstone of identity, economic growth, and tourist attraction,” Campos remarked.

The venue will feature themed culinary and artisan zones, hosting:
- 10 artisans and 3 craft workshops
- 7 traditional cooks and 20 food vendors
- A dedicated space by the Municipal DIF
- 7 producers of tequila, mezcal, and craft beer, alongside 2 non-alcoholic beverage exhibitors
Driven by the municipality’s vision of sustainability, Purisima de Mil Sabores will be an inclusive, zero-plastic event. To guarantee a safe, orderly, and responsible experience for all visitors, a coordinated security and logistics operation will be deployed by the departments of Public Safety, Transit and Transport, Civil Protection, Health, Municipal Services, and Fiscalization.
The artistic lineup will spotlight local talent, featuring performances by the Classical Ballet, Atenea Danza Urbana, and singer Naomi Parra. A highlight of the day will be a special performance by the Estudiantina of Guanajuato, celebrating the cultural twin-city bond between Guanajuato Capital and Purisima del Rincon. The public can also join in the fun with a live karaoke session designed for family interaction.

To close the celebration on a high note, Banda Euterpe will take the stage, bringing the musical energy to wrap up this great culinary and cultural fiesta.
Beyond the festival grounds, visitors are encouraged to explore local landmarks such as the Hermenegildo Bustos Museum, the Mask Museum, and the art exhibitions at La Casona, while discovering the municipality’s permanent cultural and dining scene. For added convenience, eight nearby parking lots will be available to facilitate easy access.

By hosting Purisima de Mil Sabores on July 12, the Municipal Government reaffirms its commitment to strengthen local gastronomic identity, boost tourism, and create development opportunities for producers, traditional cooks, artisans, and entrepreneurs, solidifying Purisima del Rincon as one of Guanajuato’s premier culinary destinations.
This year, the Purisima de Mil Sabores Fair aims to surpass 12,500 visitors, project an economic impact exceeding 2’679,000 pesos, and generate over 120 direct and 60 indirect jobs.
