The Secretary of Culture of Guanajuato celebrates the outstanding participation of the State’s artists who will be part of the program for the 54th edition of the Cervantino International Festival (FIC), to be held from October 3 to 18, 2026 in Guanajuato City.

In this edition, which will have France as the guest country of honor and will bring together more than 2,700 artists from 29 countries, Guanajuatense talent will once again take center stage with proposals that reflect the diversity, quality and innovation that distinguish the artistic creation of Guanajuato.

The program brings together contemporary dance, theater, concert music, opera, improvisation, puppetry, clowning, multidisciplinary projects, symphony orchestras, traditional dance, and community theater.

Highlights include performances by the Lola Lince Experimental Dance Company, Ojo Negro Puppet Theater, Ensemble A Tempo, and the Bicentennial Theater Choir.

The Guanajuato program also includes the Guanajuato State Music Band, Physical Momentum, the Vientos Musicales Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Silvestre Revueltas Youth Symphony Orchestra, as well as creators such as Vladimir Ibarra, Omar Cordova and various independent companies that enrich the cultural life of the State.

The rich cultural heritage of Guanajuato will also be showcased through the parade “Living Identity: Dance and Guanajuatense Tradition,” an event that will bring together folk groups from various municipalities to share the diverse dance and musical expressions that form part of the State’s cultural patrimony.

While the Ruelas Project will reaffirm its social commitment with performances developed in collaboration with local communities, and the 2026 Literary Tours will invite the public to rediscover the capital of Cervantes through literature and collective memory.

With this broad presence, the Secretary of Culture of Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment to support creators, strengthening artistic groups, and promoting projects that consolidate the State as a national and international benchmark for culture.

Guanajuato’s participation in the 2026 International Cervantino Festival is a testament to the talent, creativity, and diversity that distinguish the artists of the State, who, from different disciplines and generations, will share with the world projects that engage with our time without losing sight of the richness of our roots.
