With the participation of the school community of Ocampo, State authorities led the official start of the 2026-2027 School Year.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato, led the ceremony held at the Melchor Ocampo Federal Urban Primary School where she highlighted in her message that more than 1.7 million girls, boys and young people are returning to the classrooms under the guidance of nearly 98,000 teachers in more than 13,000 schools.

“Our Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo knows that family finances are difficult, and that is why this school year we are supporting families. We want this support to be a relief for their wallets and a tool for their children to continue studying,” said Padilla.
Ivon emphasized the actions taken to alleviate the expense of returning to school and detailed the delivery of 581,494 school supply packages and backpacks intended for students in public elementary schools in the 46 municipalities, a strategy that required a budget of approximately 322 million pesos.

Regarding infrastructure, the head of Tu Puedes Guanajuato announced a budget allocation of 1 billion 014 million pesos for the improvement of education spaces in the State.
Additionally, he spoke about expanding the supply of upper secondary education to prevent high school graduates from dropping out, through the creation of more than 7,000 new spaces and 58 new training options at the high school level.

“I know perfectly well the effort you make every day. I know what it means to get up early, make lunch, hold your children’s hands, and work hard so that they don’t lack anything. That’s why I want to tell you, looking at you in the eyes: in Guanajuato, you are not alone,” said Ivon.
“The return to classes is not just about opening the door to a school; it’s about opening the door to new and greater opportunities. It’s about being close to our teachers, our students, and our families,” said Padilla Hernandez.

Erick Silvano Montemayor Lara, Mayor of Ocampo, highlighted the work that teachers in Guanajuato do to contribute to the formative development of girls, boys and adolescents.
“The truth is that you, as children, come every day and say: let’s go to school, I’m going to see my friends. The teachers, myself, and many of the authorities, what we see in you are future doctors,” said the Official.

“I want to tell you that you are going to grow up in a new era. We hope that when we are older, you will already be lawyers or teachers and that, just as we did our best for you, you will in turn do your best for Ocampo and for us,” said Padilla.
