In order to support the entrepreneurial spirit of women and young people in the municipality of Tierra Blanca who need to start or grow their small businesses, the People’s Government, through the Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato, delivered 156 “We Believe in You” grants.
During this event, Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato, said that the delivery of this non-refundable resource responds to a public policy of working in the territory that does give concrete results to the citizens.
“No business is born by chance; behind every business there is a story of perseverance, a skill learned over the years, and someone who decided to turn their talent into a way to get ahead. We know who we are here for; we are here for the women who never stop fighting for their family and for the young people who want to make their way through their work,” said Ivon.
The People’s Government provides a clear and precise response to each entrepreneur; not only with a financial support of 7,000 pesos, but also with tools and knowledge that help them in their lives and businesses, said the head of the Finance Company.
In this municipality, these non-refundable grants of 7,000 pesos were given to enterprising and determined people who are looking to start a small business or strengthen the one they already have in operation.
At 46 years old, Cristina Perez Hernandez, from Rincon del Cano, Tierra Blanca, has been working alongside her mother for 15 years in a tamale and atole business. She also prepares dishes for events. Her motivation is to preserve the recipes she inherited from her ancestors.
“Today I feel very happy and satisfied that thanks to this support I’ll be able to grow my business a little more; I’m going to buy steamers, pots, thermos for atole, grills, tables, and supplies,” said Cristina.
“We Believe in You” is a program aimed at women aged 18 to 59 and men aged 18 to 30 who live in rural and indigenous communities, in priority attention areas, are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and are vulnerable due to income or disability. The support is provided on a one-time basis and is non-refundable.
Mayor of Tierra Blanca, Romulo Garcia Cabrera, and his wife Yasmin Rivera, president of the municipal DIF were in the event.
