Libia Dennise reaffirms her support for the Lasallian community during the investiture ceremony of the new rector of La Salle Bajio University

The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, attended the investiture ceremony of the new rector of the La Salle Bajio University, brother Roberto Medina Luna Anaya, rector for the period from August 3, 2026 to July 15, 2029.
“Being here and witnessing this change in leadership is also a profoundly hopeful moment, because every change represents a new beginning to continue reaffirming our commitment to the student community, but also to society,” said the Governor.
Governor Libia Dennise is a graduate of this University, and as she stated, there is a very close connection. “This invitation allows me to reconnect with what is my home, my alma mater. I want to invite you all to continue building together the best version of ourselves, but also the best possible version of our beloved Guanajuato,” she said.
The appointment and imposition was carried out by Brother Rafael Ceron Sigala, Visitor of the Antilles Mexico South District and president of the Honorable Governing Board.
Roberto Medina Luna Anaya is a lifelong Lasallian, an educator, and holds a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis on Educational Management. He has served as a teacher, principal, and trainer at various institutions, as well as Vice-Rector of Student Welfare at this university.
His experience provides a solid foundation for a new phase focused on academic excellence, human development, innovation, and community engagement.
This vision aligns with the new economic policy of the Government of the People, Guanajuato Suma, for which talent, employability, and inclusion policy aims to prepare people for the jobs of the future and bring together universities, businesses, research centers, and Government.
