Tree planting campaign in Guanajuato has begun

Environmental Attorney Karina Padilla planted trees with Telesecundaria students in Abasolo

A simultaneous tree-planting event was held in twelve municipalities of the State

The People’s Government, through the Environmental and Territorial Planning Attorney’s Office of the State of Guanajuato, carried out a tree planting day in Guanajuato, starting at Telesecundaria Number 53 in the community of Rancho Nuevo de la Cruz in Abasolo.

Environmental Attorney Karina Padilla acknowledged the effort of each of the students of the basic education institution to carry out this action that will bring benefits not only to the community but to the entire region.

“Following the leadership and vision of our governor, Libia Dennise, we continue with this important initiative today: planting trees. Besides Abasolo, we are replicating this important activity in eleven other municipalities.”

Environmental Attorney Karina Padilla asked the students of Telesecundaria 53 and all participants from the eleven municipalities to take care of a tree from their home.

“That is why today, I want to ask all of you to make that commitment, not only to plant them, but to take care of them, to take that commitment with us today and, if you have some space in your home, to also have a tree or a small plant that will help us in the protection of the environment,” invited Padilla.

“By planting these trees, we not only transform our space but also strengthen our school culture through empathy, teamwork, and by doing our part to improve the air that future generations will breathe. Now it’s up to us to protect and watch grow what we planted with so much care,” said the students Karol and Ismael, representing the student community of Telesecundaria #53.

On this day, trees of native species of the State were planted, having a high probability of growing and reaching adulthood to provide benefits such as the generation of oxygen.
