Guanajuato/Gto News
As part of the CONFIA Strategy (Operational Coordination of the New Anti-Crime Intelligence Force), the State Public Security Training Institute -INFOSPE- hosted the start of the course “Gender Perspective and Prevention of Femicide”, sponsored by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and the Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the United States Embassy in Mexico (INL).
This course is designed to strengthen police capacities in addressing gender-based violence and preventing femicide.
The Police+ project and this first phase of training focus on optimizing the knowledge and skills of fourteen public servants from the Secretary of Security and Peace and INFOSPE, who will receive a trainer-of-trainers approach.
This training will be an important tool for responding to cases of gender violence, as well as for aligning current practices with the values and objectives of the CONFIA Strategy and the Government of the People, headed by Governor Libia Denisse Garcia Munoz Ledo.
This course is part of a comprehensive effort that recognizes the importance of prevention and training as tools to safeguard the safety and well-being of girls, adolescents and women in Guanajuato.
