Guanajuato shared the actions taken to consolidate its Film Commission and strengthen the audiovisual ecosystem as a tool for tourism promotion

In accordance with the objectives of the People’s Government, the Secretary of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI) participated in the 70th Ordinary Assembly of the Union of Secretaries of Tourism of Mexico (ASETUR), a working session called “Tourism on Stage”, a space for coordination of the Mexican States to strengthen the national tourism policy and promote strategies that increase the competitiveness of the country’s tourist destinations.
During the working session called “Tourism on Stage”, the tourism officials exchanged experiences and presented projects aimed at strengthening the development of the sector from different perspectives.
On behalf of Guanajuato, the Secretary of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI) shared the actions that the State is promoting to consolidate its Film Commission, strengthen the audiovisual ecosystem and support projects that promote the tourist, cultural and identity treasures of Guanajuato.
During the participation of Guanajuato, SECTURI noted film and audiovisual productions (such as GIFF and the call for the 2026 Program of Support for Film and Audiovisual Projects) as strategic tools to promote tourist destinations, attract new investments, generate economic development, and strengthen the identity of communities.
Under the vision of the People’s Government, SECTURI continues to promote initiatives that position Guanajuato as a national benchmark in tourism, culture and the audiovisual industry, and with its participation in this meeting, Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment to work in a coordinated manner with other States to promote a more competitive, innovative and sustainable tourism, for the benefit of all Mexicans.
