With the aim of strengthening female leadership, promoting the participation of women in economic decision-making and consolidating business collaboration networks, the swearing-in ceremony of the first Advisory Council of the Coordinating Council of Women Entrepreneurs (CCME), Guanajuato Chapter, was held.

The People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, remains committed to promote a more inclusive and competitive economy with greater opportunities for women, recognizing their strategic role in the economic and social development of the State.

The Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, emphasized that women’s leadership represents a transformative force for Guanajuato, generating jobs, boosting businesses, and strengthening the economic fabric. “Women entrepreneurs in Guanajuato represent talent, innovation, discipline, and resilience,” she said.
Villasenor said that the establishment of this Council represents a new stage of organization and collaboration for Guanajuatense businesswomen, by consolidating a space for representation and collective construction in favor of economic growth with a perspective of inclusion.

Also, she recognized the leadership of Ma. Dolores Saucedo Rocha, President of the first Advisory Council of the CCME Guanajuato Chapter, as well as the work of Norma Alicia Ramirez Hinojosa, National President of the organization, for promoting an agenda focused on strengthening female business leadership and expanding opportunities for more women in Mexico.

Currently, more than 1,195,000 women actively participate in Guanajuato’s economy, and in the last 20 years, female economic participation has increased from 39% to 46%. Furthermore, the number of female employers grew from just over 11,000 to more than 36,000 in 2025, reflecting the growth and consolidation of female business leadership in the State.

The Secretary of Economy promotes actions and programs focused on strengthening the competitiveness of women entrepreneurs through training, certifications, micro-credentials, business linkages, labor linkages and specialized programs such as Women Exporters, aimed at opening new markets and opportunities for companies led by women.
“We want more women exporting, more women innovating, more women in strategic sectors, and more women leading global companies from Guanajuato,” said Villasenor Aguilar.

The Government of the People reaffirms its commitment to continue building a more inclusive Guanajuato, where the talent and leadership of women continues to be an engine of economic development.
