All great businesses started the same way: with an idea that just needed the right push at the right time.

Ivon Padilla Hernandez, General Director of Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato, said that, with the conviction of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the municipalities of San Diego de la Union and Dolores Hidalgo became the epicenter of a new day of the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop.

“We are here for the women and young people who get up every day with the determination to build something of their own. You represent the strength, talent, and culture of hard work that are the hallmark of the people of Guanajuato. Our mission is to open those doors so that your projects can find real opportunities for growth,” said Ivon.
“Often, the only thing separating a person from their dream is not having the necessary financial resources. That’s why we travel to all 46 municipalities in the State, to tell you that you are not alone, that there is an institution that believes in you and is willing to support you from the very first step,” said the Official.

Ivon explained that, on this occasion, more than 200 entrepreneurs participated in both days of workshops, where dozens of stories coincided at the same point.
Among the attendees were those who expressed their desire to open a small business from home, strengthen a project they had already started, or find a new source of income that would allow them to improve their quality of life.
Padilla added that when a person starts a business, they also generate movement in their community, inspire others, find opportunities, and all of Guanajuato wins.

This workshop is part of the sixth call for proposals in 2026, where essential topics for the development of the businesses are taught, from basic management and customer service tools to personal skills related to confidence, leadership and decision making.

“I was starting to make my creations, but I was limited by the fact that I didn’t have materials. Here in my municipality, I couldn’t find them, or when I did find them, they were more expensive, and my profit was lower. With the support, I was able to stock up on all the types of materials I use, and now when I receive an order, I already have the materials ready,” said Esther Arriaga, a beneficiary of this program in 2025 and who creates crocheted crafts in San Diego de la Union.
The non-refundable financial support program “We Believe in You” is primarily awarded to women aged 18 to 59 and young people aged 18 to 30 living in rural communities and in priority urban areas. Participation in the Initial Entrepreneur Workshop is required to access this support.
