In order to strengthen the competitiveness of companies, boost the attraction of investments and generate better employment opportunities for Guanajuatense families, the Road 2 Logistics Automotive 2026 reunion was inaugurated this Tuesday, one of the most important logistics and supply chain forums of the automotive industry in North America.

During the inaugural ceremony, Hector Lopez Santillana, General Director of Guanajuato Puerto Interior, attended on behalf of the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, reaffirming the commitment of the Government of Guanajuato to economic development, regional competitiveness and the building of strategic alliances that generate well-being for the population.
“At Guanajuato Puerto Interior, we continue to build community to find collaborative solutions to common problems and generate prosperity for everyone,” said Lopez Santillana.

This year, the event brings together more than 1,200 attendees, including more than 600 business meetings, and business opportunities exceeding $360 million annually, derived from the requirements of more than 50 purchasing companies in the region.
Ricardo Vivero, CEO of Cluster Industrial and General Director of Road 2 Logistics, highlighted that the 2026 edition comes at a decisive moment for the industry, where logistics has become a strategic advantage to guarantee the continuity of manufacturing operations, strengthen the competitiveness of North America and respond to the new challenges of global supply chains.

Vivero explained that Road 2 Logistics was conceived as a platform to connect companies, suppliers, specialists, and decision-makers, generating new business opportunities and solutions for the logistical challenges facing the industry.
“The industry’s biggest challenges are solved by building community, sharing information, professionalizing suppliers, and generating long-term relationships,” he said.
Lopez Santillana emphasized that the main challenge for Mexico and its regions is to build greater collaboration between companies, governments, and organizations to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the new global economic dynamic.

“The question is not whether we will participate in global value chains; the question is what position we will occupy,” said Santillana.
Raúl Fabricio Ibarra Rocha, Undersecretary for the Development of MSMEs at the State Secretary of Economy, highlighted that Guanajuato’s economic growth has been possible thanks to the coordinated work between government, municipalities, companies and society, emphasizing that logistics is a strategy that requires permanent collaboration to continue boosting the development of the state.

Carlos Talamantes, president of the Guanajuato Automotive Cluster, warned that the next level of competitiveness for the industry lies not only in producing more, but also in building smarter, more resilient, and integrated supply chains.
He added that forums like Road 2 Logistics allow companies to anticipate global challenges and design the future of automotive supply from the Bajio region. Road 2 Logistics Automotive 2026 takes place on June 3 and 4 in Leon, Guanajuato.
