“Today I receive the presidency of GOAN with great gratitude, but above all with an enormous sense of commitment,” said Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, upon assuming the presidency of the National Action Governors Association (GOAN).

The Governor of Guanajuato thanked her predecessor, Maria Eugenia Campos Galvan, Governor of Chihuahua, recognizing her leadership and courage in speaking out for the states when necessary.

“Thank you for leading this stage of the National Action Governors Association with firmness, openness to dialogue, and always thinking about what is best for Mexico,” said Libia Dennise.
The GOAN is a space where State governments from the PAN party share what works, build solutions together, and defend a federalism that strengthens states so they can deliver better results for their people.

Libia Dennise said that, by leading this Association, she reaffirms her commitment to being close to the people, listening to them, working together and delivering results that improve the lives of families. “We believe in a strong Mexico because its states are strong, because its families are strong, and because together we can build the future our country deserves,” said Libia Dennise.
Maru Campos, Governor of Chihuahua, said she was pleased to have strengthened a united association with its own identity, made up of governments that have demonstrated that principles translate into better jobs, greater investment, innovation, quality public services, and more opportunities for families.

“Because that has always been our conviction: to put the person at the center of decisions, to govern responsibly, and to understand that positions are temporary, but the commitment to serve Mexico is permanent,” said Maru Campos.
The Governor of Chihuahua handed over the baton to Libia Dennise, to continue with the responsibility of presiding over the GOAN with full confidence that she will continue strengthening the Homeland, the institutions, protecting freedoms and the rule of law.

“I entrust you with this responsibility with complete confidence. I know of your connection with the people, your leadership, and your vision for the future. I am certain that, under your leadership, GOAN will begin a new phase of strengthening, coordinating, and building solutions for Mexican families,” she said.
Also present at this meeting were the Governor of Aguascalientes, Maria Teresa Jimenez Esquivel, and the Governor of Queretaro, Mauricio Kuri Gonzalez.
