DIVEX celebrates its 10th edition, strengthening supply chains and industrial competitiveness

The Guanajuato Fashion Cluster generates more than 150,000 jobs and contributes 7.5% of the state’s GDP

Guanajuato reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the industrial supply chain with the 10th edition of DIVEX, a reunion that brings together 32 purchasing companies and 50 suppliers for two days to generate more than 800 business appointments.

The Secretary of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, highlighted that the vision of the People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, is to support companies so that they become more competitive, integrate into value chains, and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the transformation of the industry.

Villaseñor noted that spaces like DIVEX strengthen economic development by bringing buyers and suppliers closer together, promoting innovation, collaboration and the generation of new businesses.

“Each meeting represents an opportunity to open new markets, forge long-term alliances, incorporate innovation, and strengthen the growth of our companies. In Guanajuato, we believe that collaboration is the best tool for building a more competitive economy with greater opportunities for everyone,” she said.

DIVEX is a business networking platform, organized by the Association of Industrial Suppliers of Mexico (APIMEX), that brings together purchasing companies with suppliers to promote new business, strengthen value chains and generate growth opportunities for the industry.

In its tenth edition, the event brings together 32 buyer companies and 50 supplier companies, with the expectation of facilitating more than 800 business meetings.

• Personal protective equipment, packaging, plastics, chemicals, machinery, specialized services and information technologies

The Secretary noted that industrial supply is one of the pillars of Guanajuato’s economic development and that the State is promoting a more innovative, automated, sustainable, and people-centered industry, prepared to respond to the challenges of an increasingly competitive global market.

Villasenor noted the importance of the Fashion Cluster, one of the strategic sectors of Guanajuato, made up of 19,500 economic units, which contributes 7.5% of the State’s Gross Domestic Product, generates more than 150,000 jobs and registers $886 million in exports, consolidating itself as an engine of growth for Guanajuato.

Villasenor acknowledged the work of the Association of Industrial Suppliers of Mexico (APIMEX) for consolidating, over ten editions, a space that strengthens national supply chains and fosters collaboration between companies, organizations, and Government to boost the state’s economic growth.
