Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo recognized the work of the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato (UVEG) for making available to women entrepreneurs the tools to learn about artificial intelligence and the creation of applications, web pages and automations through the Digital Allies program.

“Programs like this lead us to believe that it’s possible to create a project, and that’s what we’re aiming for in the People’s Government: that the Digital Allies know there’s a community of women who want to promote their projects and get ahead. Furthermore, there are many excellent ideas that can be transformed into projects that benefit society,” the Governor said in the recent broadcast of the program Connecting with the People.

Aliadas Digitales is a free program that trains 2,500 women in Generative Artificial Intelligence and No Code Development.
The Governor chatted with Leticia Janet Aboytes Contreras and Sahariel Torreblanca Garay, who won first and second place in Digital Allies, respectively. Contreras said that her project, METAmorfosis Biocicla, a circular economy laboratory with the premise “We exchange your waste for life.”

“It was quite a challenge, but when I started the program I realized that I had the tools that bring us closer to technology and give us the possibility of making our ideas have a projection and that motivated me a lot,” said Leticia.
Sahariel Torreblanca Garay explained that her project EducaM365, is a practical and dynamic course that transforms the learning of Microsoft 365 and artificial intelligence for young people aged 13 to 17, and does so in a fun way.

“I came because I saw the call for applications through social media. I knew they were going to teach us digital tools, but I didn’t know at what level and how they were going to help me put all the ideas I had in my head into practice,” she said.
The training platform consists of 9 Training Pathways and 3 Webinars; participants progress at their own pace and can complete their pathways as their work and family life allow.

Ricardo Narvaez Martinez, Rector of the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato, explained that, given the digital divide, this program is a way to provide digital tools to women entrepreneurs. “It’s a way for them to learn about artificial intelligence through a viable project, which will help them develop a real-world project,” he said.
To close out the year, UVEG will offer 500 additional free training slots for women Digital Allies, with the goal of boosting their economic independence. The call for applications will be published on November 3rd on UVEG’s official social media accounts.
Narváez said that all of UVEG’s education offer has official SEP accreditation: upper secondary education, bachelor’s degrees, doctorates, and the Language Center. He added that UVEG brings higher education closer to fellow citizens and teaches Spanish to people from other countries.
