The fourth edition of the Agave and Its Roots Festival has officially solidified Purisima del Rincon as a premier destination for vibrant cultural events and economic growth. This spectacular celebration not only honors the identity and traditions of the municipality but also crosses borders, welcoming local culinary masters as well as international guests from around the globe.

Mayor Roberto Garcia Urbano warmly welcomed every visitor and expressed his deep gratitude for the trust placed in every local project.

“With the support of the State Government, our commitment to the community shines through in events that boost the municipal economy. Agave is grown and harvested right here in Purisima, a proud holder of the official designation of origin. We have people who truly invest in development, which is why Purisima is such an important tourist destination. Having products that put our municipality on the map fills us with pride as we showcase everything Purisima has to offer to the world,” the President said.

Garcia Urbano also extended a warm Father’s Day congratulation to all dads, recognizing their fundamental role in building a society that allows Purisima to transcend through its people.

The opening ceremony boasted a distinguished presence of authorities from all three levels of government and the private sector. Representing Governor Libia Dennise, the State Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Lupita Robles, praised the initiative behind the activities in Canada de Negros and this fourth edition of the Agave Festival. She was joined by a representative of the Secretary of Economy.
Also in attendance were Federal legislator Diana Gutierrez and Alan Sahir Marquez. Representing the local government were members of the City Council, including Tourism Commission members Salvador Cruz Villegas and Dora Delia Fonseca, alongside City Council Secretary Veronica Ivette Gomez Becerra. From the business sector, Jorge, representing the company Agazul, attended with a group of special guests.

At the heart of the festival, local company Agazul got the spotlight by hosting interactive workshops for the public and choosing this prestigious stage for the official launch of their new eco-friendly packaging, reaffirming their commitment to innovation in the region.
This year’s lineup truly shined due to its diversity, proudly hosting delegations from Algeria, El Salvador, Egypt, and Venezuela as guest countries.

This sparked a unique cultural exchange that perfectly complemented the massive food and artisan corridor that offered:
- Culinary Delights: Foodies rejoiced with traditional enchiladas, pambazos, barbacoa, traditional dishes, hot dogs, snacks, aguachile, ceviche, as well as Italian cuisine and crepes
- Sweet Treats: Visitors enjoyed the iconic ice cream from Dolores Hidalgo, chocomiles, and custom Father’s Day cookies
- Artisanship: Local and regional talent was on full display with an incredible exhibition of Jalpa handicrafts and beautiful embroidery work that attracted onlookers

The festival excitement extended all the way to the Lienzo Charro, where families experienced the spectacular thrills of traditional charreria, live music, and exciting equestrian events.
To close the night in style, the music group La Kumbre con K took the stage for a grand finale, getting the entire crowd on their feet and dancing.
