Guanajuato/Gto News
The Super League of Health is a State program that continues to strengthen itself to promote physical health and healthy eating in our girls and boys in schools through various activities such as the series “Health Superheroes” or “The Superlunches Recipe Book”.

Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo conducted the program “Connecting with the People”, which included the participation of the President of the State DIF Advisory Council, Juan Carlos Montesinos Carranza, and the General Director of the State DIF, Alfonso Borja Pimentel.

The Governor said that the Super League of Health is a program that is also coordinated with the national strategy Live Healthy, Live Happy promoted by the Federal Government.
Libia Dennise noted that this program has visited 3,870 public elementary schools and served more than 515,000 children in the State. Through outreach teams, activities such as weight and height registry, nutritional status assessments, oral health checks, and vision screenings were carried out.

“The Super League of Health is going very well. It is a program promoted by the State DIF (StateSystem for Integral Family Development) with the purpose of promoting healthy habits in families in the State of Guanajuato, to address the problem of childhood obesity”, said Juan Carlos Montesinos.
“This strategy is important because it directly reaches children so they understand the reasons for changing their eating habits, and that is why this program has Super Heroes, each with a different power to promote healthy eating,” explained Montesinos.

The Official said that the superheroes fight against villains that represent everyday risks. The adventures of these characters consist of five animated episodes that can be watched on the State DIF’s social media channels:
- YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram
They will also be featured on billboards and printed materials with QR codes that link to the episodes.

The first three episodes, which have already been released, can be viewed on the State DIF website:
- dif.guanajuato.gob.mx
- These three episodes are:
- Nutrinova vs. Lord Chatarra
- Ritmo Relampago vs. Condesa Flojera
- Jorge’s Vacation
- Today, the fourth episode, Lord Chatarra Strikes Again, is released
In the People’s Government, “The new saying is doing,” and that’s why, through the State DIF, nutritious food is being strengthened through the Superlunches program, commented Alfonso Borja, who highlighted that the Superlunches Recipe Book is being launched.
It is an initiative, he explained, that brings together the best recipes from the “Healthy Dish” contest in which girls, boys and teenagers participated with creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to a healthier diet.

Superlunches aims to provide mothers and fathers with simple options for preparing balanced meals that contribute to the development of their children.
The State DIF (System for Integral Family Development) has also launched a campaign called: “Centennial Stories, Recipes for Living.” Its objective is to recognize the history, experience, and legacy of senior citizens who have reached or are about to reach 100 years of age or more.
A call has been launched to the general public to identify centenarian men and women who are part of the living memory of the State and who have contributed to the development of their families and communities. The campaign began on May 12th and will remain open until August 10th of this year, allowing people to register anyone who fits this profile or share their basic information so we can locate them.

Registration can be made at:
- dif.guanajuato.gob.mx/centenarios-guanajuato.
- 89 centenarians (over 100 years old)
- From 25 municipalities have been registered
Municipalities with the most registrations are:
- Leon (15) and Guanajuato (11)
- The oldest registered centenarian is 107 years old and lives in Leon
