Traditional cuisine, the Dance of El Torito, and the heritage of Romita are the basis of a tourism offer that the People’s Government supports with promotion, training, and event support to attract visitors and strengthen local businesses.

On behalf of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, the Secretary of Tourism and Identity, Maria Guadalupe Robles Leon, participated in the Second Government Report of Mayor Pedro Kiyoshi Tanamachi Reyes, where the State’s support for the tourism development of the municipality was reaffirmed.

“We want more people to visit Romita, shop at its businesses, and return, so that tourism opens up opportunities for your families and communities,” said the Secretary.
Through the Secretary of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI), this support includes assistance for the celebrations of the anniversary of the municipality’s founding, the El Mole de Romita Gastronomic Festival and the previous edition of the Guadalupana Festival, as well as its promotion in the press, advertising spaces and State tourism networks.

The Secretary supports the development of experiences related to the Danza El Torito (Dance of the Little Bull), traditional cuisine, and the agricultural and agave heritage.
Romita is also participating in the updating of the Tourism Sustainability Model, with the aim of linking its tourism growth with the preservation of its heritage and the benefit of its communities.

The agenda includes new training sessions, a workshop on the State Tourism Registry, and support for the Romita en las Alturas Balloon Festival. Additionally, the support for the next edition of the Traditional Guadalupe Festivals is being reviewed, and progress is being made on the efforts to rehabilitate the Miguel Hidalgo Main Square and construct the commercial kiosks in the Romita Pavilion.

As part of the Southwest Tourist Region, the municipality offers attractions such as:
- The Hidalgo Main Square, the former San Clemente Hacienda, the Parish Sanctuary of Santa Maria de Guadalupe, and the Chapingo Water Park, the Pinata Festival, the Mole Festival, the Romita Fair, the Fiesta and Dance of the Little Bull, and seasonal festivals further enhance this offer
Its food and beverage stores, lodging services, travel agencies, transportation companies, venues, and recreational spaces provide a foundation for developing new experiences.
Furthermore, the proximity of Romita to industrial parks and its connections to Silao, Irapuato, El Saucillo, and Guanajuato Inland Port open up opportunities to attract those who come to the region for work or business.

The People’s Government continues to support Romita so that its traditions become reasons to visit and tourism generates opportunities in the municipality.
