Governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, inaugurated the stand “Guanajuato Lives Great Stories” in the 46th edition of the “Tourist Tianguis of Mexico”.
The Governor was with the Secretary of Tourism of the State, Juan Jose Álvarez Brunel, who explained that in this stand they participate together with the State Government, the Municipalities and the tourism sector to publicize the tourist offer of Guanajuato to the entire country and the different nations that come to this Tourist Tianguis, the most important in Latin America.
As the stand was officially opened the Governor of the State and the Secretary of Tourism also announced that Guanajuato will host for the first time the event “Sustainable & Social Tourism Summit” from August 31 to September 3 in the city of Leon.
Guanajuato has participated in previous editions of the Sustainable & Social Tourism Summit, aiming to promote Guanajuato as a model destination in tourism sustainability and host for major events that generate economic benefits for destinations, helping the value chain of the tourism sector.
The Sustainable & Social Tourism Summit is an event in which the global community of professionals and entrepreneurs in sustainability and social issues exchange and generate projects to promote sustainability, solidarity and social responsibility in tourism.
Guanajuato is the only State to have a Sustainability Model with a commitment to carry out tourism practices based on sustainability and practicing social actions.
