Guanajuato is consolidating its position as one of the most important destinations in the romance tourism segment by hosting the Forever Wedding Summit 2026, the most relevant international meeting of wedding planners and professionals in the wedding and events industry in Mexico and Latin America.
It is held from April 14 to 17, 2026 in San Miguel de Allende, bringing together more than 400 participants from countries such as:
- Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, the United States, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Puerto Rico, among other
The Forever Wedding Summit is an immersive experience that brings together leaders, visionaries, entrepreneurs, and brands in the industry to share knowledge, explore trends, and generate business opportunities. Through its academic program, networking spaces, and business meetings, the event promotes the professionalization of the sector and fosters the creation of strategic alliances that strengthen the wedding and events industry.
Originating in Colombia and held annually since 2016, this Summit has experienced steady growth, establishing itself as an international benchmark.
Aligned with the People’s Government strategy of Governor Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, the Guanajuato State Tourism and Identity Secretary actively participates in this event to position the State as a competitive destination in the romance industry, promoting its attractions and generating new business opportunities for local stakeholders.
During the Summit, Guanajuato presents a stand that will integrate five key destinations in the segment:
- Guanajuato City, San Miguel de Allende, Leon, Dolores Hidalgo and Mineral de Pozos, in addition to the participation of the Association of Weddings, Events and Venues (ABER), strengthening the value chain of the sector
Romance tourism in Guanajuato shows sustained growth, registered in 2025 and representing 3.43% of the total visitors, consolidating itself as one of the areas of greatest economic value for Guanajuato due to the level of spending of visitors in this segment.
The success of romance tourism in Guanajuato is based on its comprehensive offer, which combines colonial architecture, charming alleyways, vineyards, haciendas, and natural landscapes, creating unique settings for memorable celebrations. Furthermore, the State distinguishes itself as an inclusive destination, where all couples can experience their love story with authenticity and a sense of identity.
Among the established destinations are:
- San Miguel de Allende, renowned for its luxury offer and exclusive experiences
- Guanajuato City, with its historical and romantic essence
- Leon, with modern infrastructure for large-scale events
- Dolores Hidalgo, which offers weddings with historical identity amidst vineyards and traditions
- Other emerging destinations such as San Jose Iturbide, Tarandacuao and Jerecuaro, which combine nature, culture and adventure
- Mineral de Pozos, with its bohemian and mystical atmosphere
- Comonfort, ideal for traditional weddings in natural settings
