Both sign an agreement to promote the preparation, connection and international growth of companies in Guanajuato City

With the aim of strengthening the capabilities of companies in Guanajuato City and generating more growth opportunities through foreign trade, the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade (COFOCE) and the Municipality of Guanajuato City signed a collaboration agreement that will provide tools, knowledge and strategies to promote the internationalization of local companies.
During the signing of the agreement, the general director of COFOCE, Luis Antonio Vargas Zavala, highlighted that this joint effort seeks to help more companies in the municipality find a real opportunity for growth and development in exporting.
“Our Governor, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, has set a clear course for us: to build a Guanajuato where opportunities reach every corner of the State, and where economic growth translates into something tangible for families. That’s why we’re taking the Export Days to the municipalities: because through collaborations like this -with city councils, with the IECA- we provide tools and knowledge of foreign trade so that Guanajuato products can reach the world,” said Vargas Zavala.
As part of the agreement, COFOCE will offer two specialized export workshops:
- One aimed at companies seeking to begin their internationalization process
- The other for companies with export experience that wish to strengthen their operations through best practices in regulatory compliance, competitiveness and international trade trends
The Mayor of Guanajuato said that this agreement by the Municipal Government of Guanajuato and COFOCE seeks to open new opportunities for companies and entrepreneurs in Guanajuato City, providing them with training and tools to enter and strengthen their foreign trade operations.
The Mayor said that, as part of this alliance, two specialized workshops will be held during August and September, directly benefiting 30 businesses and entrepreneurs, with the goal of boosting their preparedness, competitiveness, and access to new markets.
This collaboration strengthens local MSMEs, promotes job creation, and contributes to building a more robust and competitive economy with greater opportunities for Guanajuato City.
Currently, Guanajuato City registers exports exceeding 119 million dollars, and has 8 exporting companies that generate opportunities for nearly 900 families, figures that reflect the economic potential of the municipality and the importance of continuing to promote the internationalization of its companies.
