The Secretary of Agriculture of the People’s Government continues to strengthen the State’s rural infrastructure with the start of the second stage of the rehabilitation of the rural road in the community of San Jerónimo, in Purisima del Rincon; it is a project that will contribute to improve the connectivity of the communities, facilitating the transport of agricultural production and raising the quality of life of the families of the municipality.
This project involves a total investment of 3 million 403 thousand 681 pesos, comprised of a municipal contribution of 2 million 403 thousand 681 pesos and a state investment of 1 million pesos, directly benefiting 796 inhabitants and producers.
The second stage of the project includes the paving of 526.34 meters of the San Jeronimo road, with a roadway width of 5 meters, in addition to the construction of a structure consisting of subgrade, hydraulic base, cobblestone jointed with concrete and concrete tracks, which will allow for a safer, more durable and functional road for those who travel daily through the area.
The rehabilitation of rural roads represents a strategic action for the development of the countryside, since it improves access to communities and plots, reduces travel times and costs, strengthens the marketing of agricultural products and boosts the economic growth of rural localities.
This project is part of the Secretary of Agriculture’s ongoing commitment to strengthen productive infrastructure. Between 2018 and 2023 alone, the State Government allocated 116’412,465 pesos to Purisima del Rincon for the rehabilitation of rural roads and farm-to-market roads, consolidating projects that promote productivity and the well-being of rural families.
With these actions, the People’s Government, led by Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, reaffirms its commitment to invest in projects that generate well-being, strengthen rural infrastructure, and promote the development of the agro-food sector.
