More than 3,300 people gathered on the Calzada de las Artes to celebrate the first 20 years of the Guanajuato Cultural Forum with a concert that made history: Pate de Fua shared the stage with young musicians from Guanajuato in an encounter that united experience, talent and musical training.
With this concert, the Secretary of Culture of the People’s Government, led by Secretary Lizeth Galvan Cortes, kicked off the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of the Guanajuato Cultural Forum, bringing a musical experience that brought together a group with a long history and the talent of the new generations.
The evening also showcased the power of collaboration between the music education programs of Guanajuato and established artists. For the first time, Pate de Fua shared their music with members of Trinitate Philharmonia, Sonarlas Joyas, Vientos Musicales, Intercultural de Leon, and the La Salle Bajio University Orchestra, which joined the concert to create a unique sonic experience.
The result was an encounter of generations and different ways of making music that made the Calzada de las Artes vibrate and turned the opening of the Forum festivities into a real celebration with the people.
From the first chords, the audience responded to the proposal of Pate de Fua, a group that has built its own sound from the mixture of genres and a particular combination of sensitivity, humor, nostalgia and energy.
The concert offered a journey through different stages of their repertoire. Initially, the group performed songs such as “El extranjero”, “Mi corazon”, “Cien anos”, “Llevame en un beso” and “Tu portarretrato”.
One of the most special moments of the night came when the musicians of Pate de Fua shared the stage with the participating groups, giving a new dimension to well known songs of the group.
The public’s response turned the first day of anniversary concerts into a massive and intimate celebration, where families, young people and fans of the group enjoyed a night of music in one of the most emblematic public spaces of the Guanajuato Cultural Forum.
For the Secretary of Culture of the People’s Government, this meeting also represents a demonstration of how large stages can become spaces for talent being formed in Guanajuato to share experiences with artists of extensive experience.
The participation of Trinitate Philharmonia, Sonarlas Joyas, Vientos Musicales, Intercultural de Leon and the La Salle Bajio University Orchestra ensured that the Forum’s anniversary was not only a celebration of its history, but also an opportunity to look to the future and recognize those who are building the musical life of the State today.
With this successful start, the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Guanajuato Cultural Forum continues with a special program that seeks to make people part of this history.
