Work opportunities are brought to Purisima

The event counted with the participation of 27 companies of different sectors like automotive, shoe manufacturing, services and security and 10 institutions, they were able to bring 358 full time posts and 61 temporary and entry level jobs to citizens in the City Hall plaza in Purisima del Rincon

Aiming to align local workforce talent with regional economic demand, Purisima del Rincon hosted the “Enlace Laboral” workforce connection event at the City Hall plaza. The initiative brought together 27 companies across key sectors, including automotive, footwear, services, and security, alongside 10 public and private institutions.

The event offered 358 full-time positions and 61 job openings, ranging from entry-level technical roles to specialized administrative positions.

The initiative was led by Mayor of Purisima del Rincon, Roberto Garcia Urbano; State Secretary of Economy Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar; Deputy Secretary of Employment Luis Andres Alvarez Aranda, and members of the City Council.

Organizers emphasized an inclusive recruitment strategy designed to integrate young professionals entering the workforce, as well as experienced workers and seniors up to 55 years old.

“Decent work is the primary engine driving family financial stability. Education, continuous training, and productive activity are deeply interconnected,” said Garcia Urbano during the opening address.

Villasenor Aguilar highlighted the state’s economic focus: “We aim for every national or foreign investment to translate into an economic ecosystem benefiting the entire community, from large industry to local retail.”

To expand opportunities beyond the in-person event, authorities promoted two key workforce development initiatives:

• “Coneecta” Digital Platform: Active promotion of the State portal housing over 30,000 available positions
• Micro-Credential Program: A technical and soft-skills certification initiative backed by IECA, the Secretary of Economy, and local universities, offering training in areas such as welding, accounting, leadership, and workplace communication

Addressing corporate hiring practices, Mauricio Hinojosa Revuelta, Operations Manager at Best Graphics, urged business leaders to rethink traditional experience requirements: “Training is not an expense; it is an investment. Companies must commit to provide growth opportunities and develope local talent.”
