The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato reached an advance of over 87% of the goal established for 2026 with the application in different biologicals of 369,381 doses of the basic vaccination schedule.

The Secretary of Health of Guanajuato, Gabriel Cortes Alcala, reminded everyone that vaccination coverage protects the population and contains diseases that can generate outbreaks and especially affect those who do not have complete vaccination schedules.

The doses are free and are administered at People’s Health Centers on a scheduled basis throughout the year.

In the BCG vaccine that prevents tuberculosis, 36,523 doses have been applied, representing 85 percent progress with respect to the established goal, strengthening the protection of girls and boys from the early stages of life.

For Hepatitis B, 28,053 doses have been administered, equivalent to 66 percent progress. This biological vaccine has the lowest percentage of coverage, so efforts are underway to recover the target.
