Eno-Activities for tourists in Guanajuato are booming

Guanajuato and the city of Valladolid, Spain are very similar in their strategy to add value to the wine culture, an activity in continuous growth that satisfies the tourist demand that, today, wants experiences in grapevines and cellars.
New experiences
In the International Tourism Fair –FITUR-2022, in Madrid, Spain, Juan Jose Alvarez Brunel, the Secretary of tourism of Guanajuato, visited the Hotel Rural Pago de Trascasa, the Bodegas Hijos de Felix Salas and the Restaurant Bodegon El Ciervo, in Spain.
Chain of value
The visit also was meant to know more about the Cigales Wine Route, listen and appreciate about the integrating projects of the chain of value of the producers in the area and bring to Guanajuato new ideas that improve and strengthen the eno-tourism in Guanajuato.
The wine producing industry in Guanajuato is really booming and it provides for a growing eno-tourist offer in 8 municipalities in Guanajuato:
- Dolores Hidalgo, San Miguel Allende, Comonfort, San Felipe, Leon, Salvatierra, San Francisco del Rincon and Guanajuato City
All produce some 1’240,000 liters of wine the most apprciated are:
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Tempranillo, Nebbiolo, Semillon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
