The People’s Government invested more than 63 million pesos to strengthen local businesses in the Northeast of Guanajuato

To strengthen the economic fabric, the People’s Government, through the Financiera y Apoyos Tu Puedes Guanajuato (Financial and Support Program “You Can Guanajuato”), invested more than 63 million pesos in financing and support in municipalities in the North East of the State, directly impacting the local economy and the preservation of jobs.
At the regional meeting of municipal modules, Ivon Padilla Hernandez, head of the agency, reported that according to a results report covering: San Luis de la Paz, Doctor Mora, San Jose Iturbide, Tierra Blanca, Santa Catarina, Victoria, Xichu and Atarjea, a total of 2,129 people have benefited from a loan or support to start a business or grow the one they already had.
“Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo has asked us to provide effective support. Of the 2,129 beneficiaries in this region, 80 percent are women and 20 percent are men, and 2,318 jobs were secured. But this regional impact reflects what we are achieving throughout Guanajuato,” said Padilla.
“We have provided comprehensive advice and guidance to more people through municipal modules and our 7 regional branches since the start of operations, strengthening their technical and credit capabilities to guarantee the viability of their projects,” said Ivon.
The Official said that, in the State, the People’s Government has achieved universal coverage: Tu Puedes Guanajuato has an effective presence in all 46 municipalities.
As part of this event, the symbolic delivery of financing number 8,199 to Carlos Eduardo Pérez, which was granted in that area, and the “We Believe in You” support number 6,500 to Fausta Ramirez Quevedo, a person originally from the indigenous community of Mision de Chichimecas, was carried out.
Ruben Uriaz Ruiz, Mayor of San Luis de la Paz representing the mayors of the region, said that with this investment made by the State Government, not only are businesses strengthened, but the quality of life of families is also improved.
“I want to tell you that San Luis de la Paz belongs to all of you, to the entire region. But it is also the gateway to commerce, where all that economy is generated, and today, having this Tu Puedes Guanajuato program here, is of utmost importance to us for the North East,” said Uriaz.
The mayors of the municipalities of:
- Doctor Mora, San Jose Iturbide, Tierra Blanca, Santa Catarina, Victoria, Xichu and Atarjea, as well as directors of economic development, also attended this presentation of results
Later, the “Support Fair to help you start your business” was held, where staff from Financiera de la Gente assisted entrepreneurs from various sectors to introduce them to credit schemes and inform them of the competitive advantages offered, as well as a job fair.
