The Secretary of Security and Peace, Juan Mauro Gonzalez Martinez, called on the heads of municipal corporations to prevent and reinforce patrols in matters of oversight and security leading up to the patriotic holidays.

During the second session of the State Commission of Secretaries of Public Security or their equivalents, it was highlighted that support will be provided throughout the Guanajuatense territory through the State Public Security Forces (FSPE), in conjunction with the Armed Forces and the National Guard.

“We will be reinforcing our Armed Forces, National Guard, and the State’s Criminal Investigation Agency; we are still in time to coordinate and prevent many scenarios,” said Gonzalez.
During the reunion, the Secretary of Security and Peace warned about the importance of strengthening the regulation and surveillance of establishments where alcohol is consumed, especially those that operate irregularly.

“The patriotic holidays are coming up. We know that this is a time when alcohol consumption is high. We need to check the documentation; you know what happens in your municipalities and when there are large gatherings where reinforcement is necessary. It is very important that we tighten things up,” the Secretary said.
The State Coordinator of Civil Protection, Luis Antonio Guereca Perez, called for continued operations in markets, street markets, and other points of sale for fireworks in cities.

In the session, Juan Silva Lujan, director of the State Institute for Public Security Training (INFOSPE), was introduced, and invited all to maintain the professionalization of the officers of their corporations.
“To build and strengthen our police force and our institutions, there is much to be done in the future, to collaborate with you, and to strengthen the security of the State and all the municipalities,” he said.
Military chiefs and State Officials as well as Officials from each municipality of Guanajuato related to security participated in the session.
