Osaka, Japan/Gto News
The talent, creativity and preparation of students from CONALEP Guanajuato once again stood out internationally, as they won First Place in the World in the Sumo 3 kg category of the ROBORAVE International World Championship 2026, held in Osaka, Japan.

The highest recognition went to the Mantarraya team, from CONALEP Plantel Silao, made up of Saul Azael Valdenegro Vazquez, Juan Tadeo Rea Elias, Juan Diego Rodriguez Ramirez and Christian Yahir Sandoval Rivas , who were led by their coach, Edgar Ivan Hernandez Rodriguez.

The Guanajuatense team raised high the name of CONALEP, Guanajuato and Mexico, demonstrating the talent and skills that the students develop through their technological training.
Representative teams from CONALEP Plantel Valle de Santiago also participated in this international competition , and they had an outstanding performance, joining the representation of Guanajuato in this important world robotics event.

The participation of the Guanajuato teams in the world championship was possible thanks to their qualification earned in the RoboRAVE Mexico 2025 Tournament, held in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, where they achieved the necessary results to obtain their pass to the 2026 international championship.
This achievement is the result of a preparation process that combines technical knowledge, programming, design, strategy, creativity and, especially, teamwork.
The victory in Osaka adds to the outstanding history that CONALEP Plantel Silao has built in international robotics competitions.

In previous years, students from this school have won first and second places in WER world robotics tournaments, consolidating Silao as one of the main characters of CONALEP Guanajuato in matters of innovation and robotics.
These achievements have been possible thanks to the support of coach Edgar Ivan Hernandez Rodriguez, who once again led a team of students from CONALEP Silao to the top of an international competition.

The experience accumulated over these years has made it posible to strengthen an education community focused on innovation, technological development and the training of young people capable of competing in national and international scenarios.
The first place in the world achieved in Osaka represents not only a triumph in a competition, but also a demonstration of what can be achieved when the talent of young people is combined with preparation, discipline, innovation and teamwork.
