The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, recognized the work, vocation, commitment and sensitivity of those who accompany the first steps in the formation of Guanajuatense girls and boys.

“Our educators are the heart where our education system begins. I am very proud of the work you do every day, and that is why we will continue working together for the Guanajuato we want,” said the Governor in the commemoration of Educators’ Day 2026.

The Governor displayed a photograph of “Guille,” her third-grade preschool teacher. She explained that Guille positively impacted the beginning of her education and taught her to believe in herself. “What preschool teachers do shapes the lives of the children of Guanajuato,” she said.

Libia Dennise said that promoting early childhood education is a strategic commitment, since this stage is when fundamental skills for learning, coexistence, and emotional well-being are developed.
The Governor and union officials presented awards to teachers belonging to Section 45 of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE). Eight women received awards for their outstanding work and union contributions, as part of the 70th anniversary of SNTE Section 45.

“In Guanajuato, we have the best educators of Mexico. We will continue working hand in hand to ensure you have the best conditions in your education premises,” said Libia Dennise.

The People’s Government has promoted concrete actions to strengthen early childhood and preschool education. Among the most significant advances is the increase in early childhood education coverage, which rose from 6.8% to 9.81%, representing 30,971 children under three years old receiving care.
