The Secretary of Culture of Guanajuato invites you to experience the culture, roots and identity of Guanajuato starting Saturday, September 6, at the Third JalpArt Art Reunion, which is held in the Historic Center of the Magical Town of Jalpa de Canovas, with the participation of local emerging artists and more than 60 nationally and internationally renowned creators.

JalpArt began more than three years ago as a festival organized by the Jalpa Art Workshop, with the mission of bringing art to the community and the initial intention of supporting children. Today, it welcomes all generations. Over time, this event has become an annual celebration that brings together artists and the public around creation and cultural exchange.

In this edition, in addition to the visual arts exhibition that will remain open until October 24, 2025, the public can enjoy engraving workshops, a craft market, and a get-together in the garden of the Ex-Hacienda de Jalpa de Canovas, strengthening the sense of community and belonging.
“Culture is the bridge that connects people to their identity and to the world. This gathering in Jalpa de Canovas is an example of how art transforms and gives life to our Magical Towns,” said Lizeth Galvan Cortes, Secretary of Culture.

These type of art gatherings are highly relevant because, in addition to bringing art closer to the community, they strengthen the cultural identity of the Pueblo Magico and create spaces for exchange between local, national, and international artists. They also boost the economy and tourism through the participation of artisans and producers, while offering education workshops that spark the interest and talent of new generations.

For this reason, the Secretary of Culture is supporting this citizen initiative by promoting the event and the exhibition, details of which can be found in the Visual Arts program insert.
Admission to the activities is free and is open to the general public.
