With the goal of strengthening the electric industry, fostering technological innovation, and consolidating industrial connectivity in the region, the Bajio 2025 Electric Expo was inaugurated.
Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, head of the Secretary of Economy, noted the strategic role of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the economic development of Guanajuato and of Mexico.
“MSMEs are the engine of local employment and growth. In the People’s Government and with the vision of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo, we are working to strengthen their competitiveness, promote their professionalization, and provide them with the conditions they need to grow, innovate, and become suppliers to world-class companies,” said Villasenor.
Events like the Bajio Electric Expo are spaces for strengthening connections between companies, fostering productive alliances, and opening business opportunities that increase the region’s competitiveness.
During the two days of activities, more than 20 leading national and international companies such as ABB, Leviton, Generac, Eaton, Carrier, Viakon, among other, present technological solutions, innovations in energy efficiency, and cutting-edge equipment.
The electricity industry in Guanajuato currently has 61 economic units that generate more than 11,000 jobs and whose exports exceed $1.41 billion. Since 2022, the sector has registered an 85% growth, positioning it as one of the pillars of the regional economic ecosystem.
Villasenor Aguilar gave special recognition to Miscelec Electrica del Bajio, the event’s organizer, for its 35-year history and the tenth anniversary of its Leon branch. She emphasized that its growth is an example of its commitment to regional development and the creation of quality jobs.
The People’s Government reaffirmed its commitment to the creation of jobs and the integration of MSMEs into the economic fabric, promoting environments that favor investment, innovation, and decent employment for Guanajuatense families.
