With a cumulative production value of 417.731 billion pesos, Guanajuato ranked second in Mexico in the manufacturing sector during the January-April 2025 period, according to data revealed by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI).}

The economic policy of Governor Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo has consolidated Guanajuato as a national benchmark, thanks to its solid economic performance and the creation of jobs that foster prosperity.
The head of the Ministry of Economy, Claudia Cristina Villasenor Aguilar, emphasized that these figures reflect the dynamism, diversification, and strength of the manufacturing industry in Guanajuato.

Compared to April 2024, Guanajuato recorded an increase of 6.323 billion pesos in production, representing a growth of 6.4%.
The sectors with the greatest growth are:
- Transportation equipment manufacturing (10.9%)
- Printing and related industries (9.7%)
- Basic metal industries (6.2%)
- Food industry (4.3%)
These results demonstrate the strength of Guanajuato’s industrial ecosystem, as well as the impact of public-private strategies to strengthen competitiveness and investment.
Growth in key sectors, such as the automotive and agro-food industries, consolidates Guanajuato’s position as a pillar of national economic development. Furthermore, the state registered a positive annual growth of 7.0%, surpassing the national average (5.1%) and ranking tenth in the country.

With this performance, Guanajuato strengthens its leadership as one of Mexico’s main manufacturing engines, promoting employment, innovation, and productive links for the benefit of its population.
The People’s Government, through the Ministry of Economy, works to create the conditions for the private sector to generate and retain jobs by promoting investment, strengthening micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and improving employability.
