UPP earns international certification

The Polytechnic University of Penjamo was granted the certification ISO 21001:2018 in Management for Education Organizations, increasing the quality of education and service in the institution

The Polytechnic University of Penjamo (UPP) is advancing in the consolidation of its educational processes by obtaining favorable results for certification in the ISO 21001:2018 standard, oriented towards Management Systems for Education Organizations, as part of the State Government’s commitment to strengthen higher education, promoted by the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.

This achievement represents a significant step forward in the institutional commitment to quality in education, continuous improvement, and academic excellence, aligned with the State Government’s vision of providing better education opportunities for young people in Guanajuato.

The main institutional achievements that are obtained are the favorable recommendation for certification in the ISO 21001:2018 Standard; the consolidation of the Integrated Management System (IMS) and the strengthening of education quality in the institution.

UPP holds the following certifications:

• ISO 9001:2015; ISO 21001:2018
• The Mexican Standard NMX-R-025-SCFI-2015 for Labor Equality and Non-Discrimination (Gold Insignia)
• The TSEAES (System for Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education)
• Academic accreditations, including three education programs accredited by CIEES and two more programs in the process of accreditation

The Rector of the Polytechnic University of Penjamo, Alma Veronica Lopez Lopez, noted that this recognition is the result of the collaborative work, dedication and professionalism of the entire university community.

The Government of the State of Guanajuato reaffirms its commitment to a quality, inclusive education with international standards, promoting the comprehensive development of students and strengthening the future of the State.
