SSPEG recognized with CALEA’s Triple Arc Award

The Government of Guanajuato endorses, through the SSPEG, the CALEA Triple Arc Award, achieving again the Accreditation of the FSPE, the INFOSPE and the C5i State System

The Secretary of Public Security of Guanajuato, Alvar Cabeza de Vaca Appendini, participated in the Workshop for Accreditation Managers CALEA 2024: Empowering Security Institutions in Mexico”, sponsored by the United States Embassy in Mexico. At this event, Cabeza de  Vaca received recognition from the SSPEG for achieving the Triple Arc Award for Accreditation again from the FSPE, the INFOSPE and the C5I State System.

The event organized by the Office of Anti-Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) of the Embassy of the United States of America in Mexico, occurred during two days, in which various topics related to public safety and security were presented and analyzed. professionalization of the institutions that afeguard the physical integrity and property of the population.

During the workshop, the Secretary of Public Security of Guanajuato, Alvar Cabeza de Vaca Appendini, received a recognition made to the SSPEG by the Anti-Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs Section (INL) in coordination with the government of Mexico, awarded the CALEA Triple Arc Award by accrediting the Police, Academies and Communications Programs.

The organizers of the workshop reported that in Mexico, a total of eleven states, including Guanajuato, have received the recognition called Triple Arc, the highest distinction granted by the Accreditation Commission of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), to those who have satisfactorily certified the State Police, the Police Academy and the Communication Center.

In 2017 in the city of Jacksonville, Florida, United States, the Government of Guanajuato, through the SSPEG, was the second in Mexico to receive the Triple Arch award. In the current Government headed by Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo, he has endorsed this recognition by once again accrediting the FSPE, the INFOSPE and the C5i State System.

The opening of the workshop was attended by the ambassador of the United States of America in Mexico, Ken Salazar, who noted that 71 police and law enforcement agencies in Mexico have received CALEA International Accreditation, including Guanajuato, and now they serve citizens better.

The CALEA Accreditation and the Triple Arc Award translate into safer communities, where state and municipal security forces play a crucial role due to their closeness to the people, in such a way that the more trained the police are and the better tools they have generate a relationship of trust.
