The Secretary of Public Works (SOP) is working to ensure that families in rural communities in Guanajuato have better access roads; therefore, it has allocated an investment of 12 million 842 thousand 373 pesos for the periodic maintenance of the access road to Juan Martin, in Celaya.
The head of the SOP, Juan Pablo Perez Beltran, reported that this project will improve safety and mobility conditions for more than 7,451 vehicles that travel daily on this road, as instructed by the Governor of the People, Libia Dennise Garcia Munoz Ledo.
Perez Beltran said that the works comprise a 5,500 meter stretch, between Federal Highway 51 and the community of Juan Martin.
Beltran explained that the work carried out consisted of dirt-roads and paving to repair the fault, as well as isolated pothole patching and local resurfacing with hot asphalt mix. A new asphalt layer was also applied to strengthen the structural and functional conditions of the road.
In order to provide greater safety to users, horizontal marking work was also carried out, along with the supply and placement of reflective buttons, buoys and vertical signage, in addition to the installation of speed reducers made with hot asphalt mix.
The official emphasized that these actions are part of the ongoing strategy for conservation, maintenance, and rehabilitation of the state highway network promoted by the Secretary of Public Works (SOP) to provide safer, more functional roads in better condition for the public.
