Members of the Citizen Security and Justice Board of Leon agreed to promote, from this institution, the socialization of actions and mechanisms aimed at preventing extortion, fraud and virtual kidnapping.
In coordination with the Government, the Church, the business and education sectors, they stressed that an essential part of these prevention processes is the promotion of reporting, as a multiplier effect that helps shield society, so it would be necessary to work on mechanisms that help bring information directly to citizens.
During the session chaired by Jaime Humberto Gallardo Saavedra, president of the Citizen’s Roundtable, participants presented the different ways that criminals use to commit fraud or extortion, highlighting that it can be prevented through responsible handling of personal information, social networks, family communication, not making recharges or deposits and denouncing at 089.
They agreed to promote, through the State Public Security Council, in which citizen members, municipal presidents and authorities of the three levels of government participate, this type of prevention socialization mechanism as a State agreement.
The Executive Secretary of the State Public Security System, Sophia Huett Lopez, highlighted that the State Government is already working in this regard, through the Prevention Effect platform, from which various graphics, videos, and links with information aimed at prevention in security and other topics of interest, can be downloaded in Effect Prevention on:

They also noted the importance of promoting training in civic issues and a culture of denunciation, as well as being retransmitters of information on prevention in family, education and work circles.
