Within the training program of the “International Women’s Forum”, (IWF) in which 30 women from 9 different nations participate, the Executive Secretary of the State System of Public Security of Guanajuato , Sophia Huett Lopez completed an intense week of training at the Harvard University Business School in Boston, United States.
First time
This is the first time that a State Government is represented in the IWF Scholarship Program, as well as the first time that a woman with training in Security in the civil sector of Mexico, is paet of this program established in 1974 in the United States.
By invitation
In order to enter this program, it is required, in addition to an invitation based on the selection of profiles of outstanding women, to pass different phases of tests and interviews. For the 2021-2022 generation, Mexico has one of the most important participations in its history, with 4 participants.
Among participants from other nations are:
- Members of the US State Department, NASA, the Bahamas Security Commission, the New Delhi Police in India, the Gorgas Commemorative Institute for Health Studies in Panama, as well as private companies from the United States, England, Slovenia, Egypt and Canada
Both INSEAD and Harvard Business School are in the first international posts as the most prestigious business and leadership schools.
The State Government and Governor Diego Sinhue Rodriguez Vallejo promote a public policy of women’s leadership and gender equality, committed and with the conviction that the participation and greater presence of women promote more prosperous communities, businesses, States and Countries.
The training week at Harvard Business School adds up to the training that participants received last March at the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD), in Fontainebleau in France, in addition to the various virtual trainings that are given monthly.
