The National Secretary of Defense –SEDENA-, through the Command of the XII Military Region and the 16th Military Zone, informed about the arrival in Guanajuato of 1,450 elements of different organisms of the Mexican Army and Air Force, as well as of the National Guard.
SEDENA informed in its press release that the elements “arrived in Guanajuato on Tuesday October 11th and on Wednesday 12th, and they come to support the activities already in course by the Authorities in the State to bring down the violence levels in Guanajuato”.
“The elements that arrived in the last 2 days will reinforce the Public Security actions in the municipalities of Leon, Irapuato, Celaya, Salvatierra and Salamanca, in coordination with authorities of the 3 levels of Government already operating in coordination in Guanajuato”, informs SEDENA in the press release.
The main goal of the elements that just arrived, informs SEDENA is to “inhibit the activities of the organized crime in Guanajuato, and strengthen the inter-institucional actions in Public Security, acting all the time with full respect of human rights”.
“Through these actions we confirm the commitmen of the Government of Mexico through the Secretary of National Defense to safeguard the wellbeing, peace and security of the citizens of Guanajuato”, states the press release of SEDENA.
The elements that just arrived to add on to the fight against criminals in Guanajuato came with gear and with their own vehicles to perform their activities against actions of ilegal groups.
